Isingiro court remands health centre clinician charged with theft of government medicines

The Chief Magistrate's court in Isingiro remanded a clinician from Nyamuyanja Health Centre IV, who is charged with stealing 18 boxes of government medicines on 15 November 2025. He denied the charges and was remanded until 30 December 2025 for a bail hearing. A National Drug Authority spokesperson said drug theft from public health facilities is a widespread syndicated crime.
