Election-related shootings by security forces in Luweero Town and Kalungu, 14–15 January 2026

Daily Monitor reported on 17 January that five people were shot dead by security agencies in separate election-related incidents in Luweero and Kalungu districts. Daily Monitor and The Independent reported three killed and 34 arrested as police and the UPDF dispersed election-night protests in Luweero Town, and two NRM candidate's supporters shot dead and two injured by police in Kyamulibwa, Kalungu.

A national event, not tied to one district.
