Electoral Commission declares independent Mercy Kanyesigye winner of National Female Youth MP seat in Hoima

The Electoral Commission declared independent candidate Mercy Kanyesigye winner of the National Female Youth parliamentary seat at Hoima City Stadium, with 216 votes against 198 for NRM's Diana Kampe Ampaire. EC Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama said no electoral offences were registered and called the process free, fair and transparent.
