Floods displace about 500 families in Koboko Municipality after Rivers Apa and Siniyani burst their banks

Heavy rain caused Rivers Apa and Siniyani to burst their banks, flooding more than three villages in Koboko Municipality, destroying homes and sweeping away belongings and animals, according to the Daily Monitor. Assistant RDC Rashid Baguma said over 500 families were affected, more than 10 livestock were killed and one person was seriously injured, and urged people living along river banks to move.
