Kamuli District's Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Finance Officer were arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Court on 19 January 2026 on counts of abuse of office and causing financial loss, according to Eagle Online and Nile Post. Prosecutors allege that more than Shs600 million from the road rehabilitation and maintenance fund was lost between May and June 2025. Both were remanded; the charges are unproven.
