Lands minister directs Kitondo land title be transferred from Ntungamo district to farmers' cooperative

According to Nile Post, State Minister for Lands Dr Sam Mayanja directed that a disputed land title at Kitondo, held in the name of Ntungamo District, be corrected and put in the name of Kitondo Farmers Cooperative Society. Mayanja said the district had obtained the title through an error and misreading of the law, and presidential anti-corruption assistant Rebecca Atwine said the district consented to the finding. District officials said they had acted to protect government property.
