Lands minister Judith Nabakooba, visiting Kawach Sub-county, ordered the district security committee to investigate the alleged conversion of nearly 1,500 acres of community customary land into a freehold title, and the alleged forgery of local leaders' signatures, with a report due in two weeks. Residents accuse district council speaker Richard Lochoto of obtaining the title without community consent; the District Land Board says it followed procedure.
