According to the Daily Monitor, residents of Bujowali and nearby villages in Njeru Municipality petitioned the Office of the President, accusing a landowner of blocking a public access road. A letter dated 3 August 2026 from the Buikwe Deputy Resident District Commissioner said he would summon the parties to the site to resolve the dispute. The landowner denied closing a public road, saying only a footpath crossed his land.
