According to the Daily Monitor, NRM candidate Princess Diana Mugenyi has filed a petition at the Hoima High Court seeking to annul the election of PFF's Asinansi Nyakato as Hoima City Woman MP, alleging ballot stuffing, voter bribery, disenfranchisement and discrepancies in declaration forms. Ms Nyakato said her lawyers had filed a defence, and she accused the petitioner of intimidating her supporters.
Disputed: Ms Mugenyi says the election was rigged and her victory stolen; Ms Nyakato contests the allegations and has filed a defence.
