NRM's Margaret Aleper Achila files petition challenging Kotido Woman MP election result

Outgoing Kotido Woman MP Margaret Aleper Achila filed a petition against independent winner Hasfa Nuria Teko and the Electoral Commission, according to the Daily Monitor. She alleges that results from some polling stations were not returned or tallied, that Woman MP and directly elected MP results varied, and that voters not on the register were ferried to vote in Nakapelimoru. Ms Teko said her win reflected the will of voters and that she will defend it in court.
