State House Anti-Corruption Unit arrests four Kotido Municipality officials over road funds

The State House Anti-Corruption Unit arrested four Kotido Municipality officials, including the Town Clerk and Senior Civil Engineer, according to the Daily Monitor. Unit spokesperson Miriam Natasha said the officials allegedly embezzled over Shs200 million of Shs1 billion meant for road rehabilitation in 2024/2025, and that two of them are also accused of neglecting supervision duties. The officials were expected to be taken to the Anti-Corruption Court.
