Ntungamo court issues criminal summons against Minister Rukutana in shooting case

According to The Observer, Ntungamo Chief Magistrate Sara Mponye Kolya issued criminal summons against Minister Mwesigwa Rukutana after he failed to appear for his trial, rejecting his lawyer's plea that he was sick. The prosecution alleges Rukutana shot and injured a person at Kagugu, Rushenyi, during NRM primaries on 5 September; he faces charges including attempted murder and inciting violence. The case was adjourned to 20 January.
