Nyamuyanja HC IV clinical officer arrested in Ibanda over theft of government ARVs and medicines

The National Drug Authority said a clinical officer working at Nyamuyanja Health Centre IV in Isingiro District was arrested in Ibanda after a two-week search, working with other security agencies. According to NDA spokesperson Abiaz Rwamwiri, more than 500,000 doses of government ARVs, plus antimalarials and HIV testing kits, had been recovered at the suspect's residence in Katete, Nyamitanga, Mbarara City. Police said the file had been sent to the State Attorney for guidance on charges.
