Police arrest FDC presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat in Kitgum and disperse supporters with teargas

According to the Daily Monitor, police arrested FDC presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat in Kitgum District for allegedly defying police orders to move his campaign to Lamwo while President Museveni was campaigning at Boma grounds in Kitgum town. Police fired teargas at his supporters before detaining him, and he was released hours later. Amuriat accused security officials of treating the candidates unfairly.
