Police arrest NUP supporters on Kyagulanyi's route to Bwizibwera, Mbarara

NTV reported on 7 November 2025 that a joint security team arrested dozens of NUP supporters accompanying Robert Kyagulanyi as they travelled from his Mbarara rally towards Bwizibwera. Kyagulanyi said more than 100 were arrested; police said 'several arrests' were made and linked them to an earlier attack on officers. Nile Post reported that 43 NUP members were later charged at Mbarara Magistrate's Court, 38 of them with obstructing police.
