Police arrest Yumbe District NRM chairperson and administrator over alleged misuse of Shs345m mobilisation funds

Police in Yumbe District arrested the district NRM chairperson and the district NRM administrator over alleged misappropriation of UGX 345.25 million meant for party mobilisation, including Local Council and Women's Council election activities. North West Nile police spokesperson SP Collins Asea said investigations suggest beneficiaries such as flag bearers received less than they were due. The suspects are detained while investigations continue.
