Police block FDC team from Soroti sports ground ahead of Amuriat manifesto launch

According to The Independent, police officers led by Soroti District Police Commander Simon Tsiamusangira blocked an FDC team, led by Soroti city mayor Paul Omer and Soroti East candidate Moses Attan, from accessing the Soroti sports ground where presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat was to launch his manifesto. A meeting convened by the district security committee between the regional police commander and FDC leaders did not resolve the matter, the paper reported.
