Police block Kyagulanyi rally in Sironko, disperse NUP supporters with teargas and live bullets at Buyobo

According to The Observer, police stopped NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi at Buweri bridge in Buyobo sub-county and used teargas and live bullets against his supporters, forcing him out of Sironko before he could address any rally. Police had refused his team the planned venue at Nakiwondye primary school in Budadiri town council and proposed a site more than 10 km away, which he declined. The Sironko district police commander said the rally was blocked because it had been scheduled at a health facility.
