Police in Mitooma District detained two headteachers and a deputy headteacher over the alleged failure to register a Senior Four student for the UCE examinations, according to the Daily Monitor. The student said he had paid registration fees and was moved between schools without his parents' knowledge, while the administrators gave differing explanations, including UNEB system network failures and missing past scores. Police said investigations were ongoing and that examinations at the affected schools would continue.
Disputed: The student says he paid fees and was deliberately kept out of the examinations, while the administrators attribute the missing registration to UNEB network failures, capacity limits and missing past scores.
