Police shoot dead suspected armed robber at petrol station in Maracha Town Council

Police said officers responding to an attack by three suspected armed robbers on Asili Petrol Station in Maracha Town Council shot one suspect dead in an exchange of fire and recovered a sub-machine gun. According to West Nile regional police spokesperson SSP Josephine Angucia, the other two suspects fled and a search is under way. The dead man had not been identified.
