The Observer reports that River Nile floodwaters, which district authorities attributed to two weeks of heavy rain in West Nile, have submerged parts of Obongi town, the Obongi-Moyo road, Liri trading centre and parts of Palorinya refugee base camp. According to the report, 147 households with more than 400 people have been displaced and are sheltering with relatives or in temporary structures.
