Sheema District's Chief Administrative Officer interdicted the in-charge of Kyeihara Health Centre III for six months pending investigations into alleged misconduct, abuse of office and chronic absenteeism, according to the Daily Monitor. The Deputy RDC, who found the officer absent during an unannounced visit, alleged he signed the attendance book for days he was away and diverted health workers' allowances; the officer admitted absences but denied misusing funds.
Disputed: The Deputy RDC alleges the in-charge diverted health workers' allowances and falsified attendance, while the in-charge denies misappropriating PHC funds and says he did not abandon duty completely.
