Justice Wilson Musalu Musene of the Soroti High Court ruled that Aloet, Arapai, Orwadai and Opiyai wards belong to Soroti City West, finding that the Local Government Minister, Raphael Magezi, had included them in Soroti City East in error, according to The Independent. The judge awarded costs to the plaintiffs in the civil suit against the Electoral Commission. NRM leaders in Soroti welcomed the ruling.
