Suspected Ebola patient isolated at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital

A 50-year-old man from Runga landing site in Kiganja sub-county was isolated at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital after showing Ebola-like symptoms, according to acting district health officer Dr Lawrence Tumusiime. Samples were sent to a laboratory in Wandegeya for testing, and Tumusiime said health teams had stepped up screening at Lake Albert landing sites and border entry points and begun contact tracing.
