Uganda Governance Monitor
Witnesses told the Daily Monitor that attackers raided Teya Village, tried to steal livestock and food, assaulted a woman who resisted and speared a farmer in the hand, then set huts on fire; at least 14 homes were confirmed destroyed by the next day. The UPDF 4th Division commander attributed the violence to competition for farmland and called it 'not alarming', while the Amuru District chairperson blamed criminal groups exploiting land tensions.
Disputed: Local leaders report at least five casualties from the week's attacks, while the UPDF says only one injury has been officially confirmed.
