Electoral Commission receives first 60,000 biometric voter verification kits

The Electoral Commission, led by chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama, received the first consignment of 60,000 biometric voter verification kits at Entebbe International Airport on the night of 27 October 2025, Eagle Online reported. The EC said the kits would verify every voter before polling in January 2026.
