Museveni reportedly proposes Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as successor at NRM CEC meeting at State House Entebbe

According to ChimpReports, citing its own reporters and an unnamed source, President Museveni proposed Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as his successor at a meeting of the NRM Central Executive Committee at State House Entebbe, and presented a 'succession discussion paper'. The outlet reported that Haruna Kasolo and Dr Tanga Odoi backed the proposal, Hadijah Namyalo opposed it and raised the withdrawal of her guards, and Anita Among did not comment. Museveni reportedly said the views of the majority would prevail and asked members to keep the talks confidential.
