Electoral Commission receives presidential ballot papers at Entebbe International Airport

The Electoral Commission received 193 pallets holding more than 21.6 million presidential ballot papers, flown in from Dubai, at Entebbe International Airport on the night of 24 December 2025. EC chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama said the surplus over registered voters is a legal requirement and that the materials would be stored under strict security. ANT and NPP representatives expressed reservations, with ANT saying it had asked to witness the printing but was invited only to the arrival.
