Entebbe High Court refuses Movit early judgment on land occupied by Uganda Prisons Service in Sazi Buwaya

Justice & Court Rulings Single source Wakiso 22 Jul 2026 Severity: 1/5

According to The Independent (URN), Justice Flavia Nabakooza of the High Court in Entebbe dismissed an application by Movit Products Limited for judgment on admission against the Attorney General over about 32 acres in Sazi Buwaya occupied by the Uganda Prisons Service. The judge held that a Ministry of Lands report confirming the titles were registered to Movit did not amount to a clear admission by government of exclusive ownership or trespass, and sent the dispute to full trial.
