Group from DR Congo crosses into Kisoro and attacks officers at Nyabwishenya Police Post over missing detainee

Police said that on Friday 8 May 2026 a group of Congolese crossed into Uganda and attacked officers at Nyabwishenya Police Post, demanding to know what had happened to their compatriot who had died in custody. According to ASP Elly Maate, police authorities intervened, and the incident led to the arrest of the officers and the discovery of the grave.
