Police in Kisoro, working with the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, arrested Kisoro District Council Speaker Amos Hakizimana and Nyarusiza Sub-county LCV Councillor John Mfitumukiza, Kigezi regional police spokesperson Nelson Tumushime confirmed. Police said the two are suspected of soliciting bribes from job seekers in 2025 and are detained at Kisoro Central Police Station pending investigations.
