The Daily Monitor reports that a group of about 10 plain-clothed men in a double-cabin pick-up blocked Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde's convoy and confronted his supporters near Fort Portal City Council offices after he launched his manifesto at Boma grounds, and blocked a road junction near the central police station. The Kabarole district police commander described the men as 'sister forces' working with police, while an Alliance for National Transformation regional coordinator said they were civilians known in town as mechanics and bouncers.
