Gulu High Court allows substituted service of election petition on Justice Minister Norbert Mao

According to ChimpReports, Justice Phillip Odoki of the High Court in Gulu ruled that petitioner Kitara Tonny may serve Election Petition No. 001 of 2026 on Justice Minister Norbert Mao through a Daily Monitor advertisement and the court notice board. The petitioner's lawyers had told court that attempts to serve Mao in person by phone and at his Kampala office failed, and the judge also extended the filing deadline, accepting the Easter holidays as the reason for delay.
