Police said five armed men, some in UPDF-like uniforms and others in URA reflector jackets, intercepted a driver and a salesman of a drinks company near Kigulu Trading Centre, forced them into a car and robbed them of Shs5.51 million in sales cash and phones before dumping them in Mayuge District. According to the Busoga East police spokesperson, the victims were unharmed and police alerted teams in neighbouring districts and stepped up highway checks.
