High Court in Wakiso allows Kananura to withdraw petition against Kira MP Musisi

Justice George Okello of the High Court in Wakiso granted former NRM candidate Daniel Kananura's application to withdraw his petition against the election of Kira Municipality MP George Musisi (NUP) and the Electoral Commission, and declared Musisi validly elected. Kananura had alleged irregularities, bribery and rigging in the January 2026 poll, which Musisi and the EC denied; the judge ordered each party to bear its own costs.
