High Court in Wakiso strikes out amended petition against Kira Municipality MP George Musisi

Justice George Okello of the High Court in Wakiso struck out an amended election petition by NRM's Daniel Kananura challenging the election of Kira Municipality MP George Musisi, ruling that parliamentary election petitions cannot be amended and that the amendment was filed outside the 30-day period. The applications to strike it out were brought by Musisi and the Electoral Commission. The court said the original petition remains to be heard.
