Justice Minister Norbert Mao said organisers of the NRM parliamentary retreat in Kyankwanzi removed him from the speaking programme without explanation, according to ChimpReports. The outlet reported that commentator Andrew Mwenda, a critic of Speaker Anita Among, was also blocked from addressing delegates. Mao, a contender for the Speakership, linked the exclusion to the Speaker race and criticised remarks by Among.
