Kakwenza and Kiggala petition Constitutional Court to nullify Gen Moses Ali's Adjumani West candidacy

Writer Kakwenza Rukirabashaija and human rights defender Ssuuna James Kiggala petitioned the Constitutional Court challenging the nomination of Second Deputy Prime Minister Gen (Rtd) Moses Ali as NRM candidate for Adjumani West, arguing that his frail health makes him unable to serve. They name the NRM, the Electoral Commission and the Attorney General as co-respondents and ask for his candidacy to be nullified and for minimum physical fitness standards for candidates. According to the Daily Monitor, no hearing date had been fixed and Gen Ali had not commented.
