According to ChimpReports, NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi left Kampala for West Nile, where he had planned to start campaigning in Arua, Nebbi and Pakwach, but arrived in Pakwach too late to do so. He said he chose the region because of NUP's history there and that he would begin campaigning the next day.
