Local Government Minister refers 41 Kabale District and Municipality officials to State House Anti-Corruption Unit

At an anti-corruption rally at Kabale Municipal Stadium, a State House Anti-Corruption Unit official read the names of 41 officials, 36 from Kabale District Local Government and five from Kabale Municipality, whom Minister of Local Government Balaam Barugahara had referred for investigation over alleged corruption, nepotism, abuse of office and mismanagement of funds. According to ChimpReports, the minister said some of the officials had ignored his summons, and he directed the district leadership to suspend the salaries of those who fail to record statements with the unit.
