Police arrest eight Kigezi High School students after strike during UCE exams in Kabale

Police in Kabale arrested eight Senior Four students of Kigezi High School after a strike at the school in which windowpanes and a CCTV camera were reportedly destroyed, Kigezi police spokesperson SP Nelson Tumushime said. The headteacher said the eight were among 11 students suspended earlier for allegedly attempting to escape, and alleged they returned and targeted security guards. Police said more arrests were expected.
