Man uses gun issued to UPDF soldier to kill wife and himself, injuring two, in Agago

Police and army officials said a 28-year-old farmer in Lira-Kato Sub-County allegedly took a gun from a nearby army detachment, shot dead his wife and wounded two of her teenage sisters, then shot himself. The UPDF 5th Division spokesperson, Capt Edrin Mawanda, said two civilians and two soldiers had been arrested, including the soldier to whom the firearm was issued, and that a joint police and army investigation was under way.
