Museveni backs single East African visa for AFCON 2027 at meeting with organising committee

At a meeting with the AFCON 2027 Local Organising Committee at State House Entebbe, President Yoweri Museveni endorsed a proposal for a single visa covering Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania during the tournament and directed officials to engage the two neighbours. According to ChimpReports, he also pledged government funding for AFCON projects, and Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja said priority projects should be finished by 31 December 2026.
