Museveni says NRM CEC will reconsider endorsement of Among and Tayebwa for Speaker race, at Kyankwanzi retreat

According to the Daily Monitor, President Museveni told newly elected MPs at the NRM retreat at the National Leadership Institute, Kyankwanzi, that the party's Central Executive Committee would revisit its recommendation that incumbents Anita Among and Thomas Tayebwa retain the Speaker and Deputy Speaker posts, and would consider other aspirants. He was responding to Aringa South MP Alioni Yorke Odria, who questioned the endorsement; several MPs have said it did not follow party procedures.
