According to The Independent, at about 7 am police commanded by Nakasongola District Police Commander Patience Namara surrounded Kyagulanyi as he briefed his team and ordered him to leave the area, saying he was scheduled to campaign in Nakasongola on Saturday. The report says the two exchanged angry words before Kyagulanyi and his team left for campaigns in Kyankwanzi.
