According to ChimpReports, NEMA, working with police environmental units and the UPDF, stopped earthworks and dumping in a section of the Ssezibwa Catchment System in Kalagala Village, Dundu Parish, over the weekend. NEMA said the land was being filled for a spare-parts manufacturing and recycling facility without environmental approval, and that suspected organisers were arrested and heavy machinery impounded.
