According to ChimpReports, the National Environment Management Authority demolished apartment buildings on an encroached part of Lumpewo Wetland in Kitiko Birongo Cell, Makindye-Ssabagabo, Wakiso District. NEMA said the operation enforced restoration orders issued after a June 2026 inspection; it did not name the developers or say how many buildings were affected.
