NRM campaign alleges attack and exclusion from tally centre in Kapchorwa Municipality race

A campaign manager for NRM candidate Martin Chemonges told the Daily Monitor that the Kapchorwa Municipality election was not free and fair, alleging the team was attacked and besieged on the eve of the vote and blocked from the tally centre when the winner was declared. Police commander Dauda Hiriga said the race was marked by claims of vote stuffing that led police to intervene, but that no one was found culpable.
