NRM youth lock party office in Gulu and hand keys to RDC in protest over party leadership

A group of NRM youth from several party-aligned youth groups locked the NRM party office in Gulu and marched through the town to hand the keys to the Resident District Commissioner, Maj. Santos Okot Lapolo. The protest leaders said district party leaders had repeatedly blocked them from meeting the President and alleged that party funds had been mismanaged. The RDC said the youth had a right to complain but had acted wrongly by closing the office without informing police or his office.
