NRM's Daniel Kananura tells High Court military deployment cost him Kira Municipality seat

During the hearing of his petition against NUP MP George Musisi before Justice George Okello, NRM candidate Daniel Kananura told the High Court that heavy deployment of the military and other security agencies on polling day kept some of his supporters away, especially in Bweyogerere and Kireka parishes. He also said his results had been altered, and asked for the election to be annulled or the votes recounted. The judge questioned whether intimidation could be proved without voters testifying, and lawyers for the Electoral Commission and Musisi challenged his claims.
